Croeso i Dosbarth 2. Welcome to class 2. Our class is a combination of Year One and Year Two pupils.

It is our aim to provide an environment which fosters excellent relationships between pupils, staff and parents.  It is also to develop pupils who learn appropriate skills and social abilities to enable their optimum development, according to age, ability and their personal aptitude. The children will experience challenging, interesting and fun experiences through independent learning and through focussed tasks which are led by an adult. The ability to  work independently is important for transition between the Foundation Phase and KS2

Pupils in Year Two will experience the added challenge of end of Foundation Phase Assessment. They will be assessed on  Personal and Social Development,   Well-Being and Cultural Diversity; Language, Literacy and Communication Skills; and Mathematical Development . 

Reading is a life skill and the key to all areas of the curriculum. We would strongly encourage you to support your child in this skill.
