School Inspection Reports

St Nicholas CIW Primary School was inspected in February 2026

Following a successful inspection, our school was recognised as a warm, welcoming and inclusive community where pupils feel safe, valued and respected.

The inspection highlighted the school’s strong leadership, clear vision and high expectations for all, alongside the headteacher’s commitment to fostering a caring, family ethos.

A key strength is the rich and engaging curriculum, which supports pupils to develop creativity, independence and a love of learning.

Pupils make good progress, show positive attitudes and resilience, and benefit from the strong support of staff who know them well. The school also promotes diversity and inclusion effectively, while developing pupils’ Welsh language, mathematical, creative and digital skills.

Positive relationships underpin exemplary behaviour across the school, with pupils consistently demonstrating respect, courtesy and a strong sense of responsibility.

Robust self-evaluation processes and a commitment to continuous improvement ensure the school maintains high standards and continues to move forward positively.
